23 Bridge Street, Westport, CT

Photo Gallery

23 Bridge Street, circa 1900 converted barn/carriage house. Interesting, and unexpected.
Set back from the road, private, but great location! 5 minutes from the Saugatuck by train, by foot.
Walk to the front door, and see what's inside!
There are nice stone patios and spots to sit and enjoy the outside, and the pool!
The long shared stone driveway leads to the carport, and stairs to the main entry. Or go inside from the carport.
The entry hall, with the old door preserved. There are two small closets, too.
The Great Room with wood floors, a stone fireplace wall, with an insert. There is a built in desk, and shelves too, above the stone hearth.
Beyond the Great Room is a large, bright sunroom. Check the floor plan for the room sizes.
The Great Room
The Sun Room is large and "sunny"!
The Sun Room also served as a casual dining area, but could be anything you wish.
A good spot for reading, visiting, partial office. It's up to you!
Lots of extra space for your needs.
The formal Dining Room is directly accessed to the kitchen, and wow, look at those dimensions.
The stairs in this picture lead to the loft, which is currently a bedroom, but could be an office too.
The dining room is a gracious scale, and the ceilings are actually 14' high. Loads of light from the banks of windows.
The built-ins hold lots of dining needs, plates, servers. You can picture the celebrations there.
Besides the open pass throughs, there is a door that can be open from the kitchen to the dining room, if desired.
The kitchen has an island!
Good preparation spaces, and a very serviceable kitchen space.
The loft bedroom, with closets up the few stairs, with a walk-in attic beyond.
One of two first floor bathrooms, small but complete with a shower.
Single bedroom with lots of built-ins.
This space could be an office, or small bedroom.
Bedroom with built-ins.
Bedroom two on the main level.
Another full bath, this one with a tub, on the main level.
The lower level has living space, with this room a potential bedroom.
There is a small kitchen area, with a door that leads to the carport area. There is no stove currently.
Lower level bathroom with a shower.
Bonus room? Living area for guests, in the lower level.
There is a small stone patio by this lower level door, a nice quiet space.
The pool is close to the house, for easy access during those long summer days.
There is a stone patio by the pool.
The carport and part of a patio. One car easily, possibly two could park in this part of the driveway.
The Front Door! Unique, old, and has it's own charm.
If one parks here, the stone steps lead to the main entry door.
An elegant pool, tucked back, and private.
An intriguing house, with a lovely pool. Close to the train. Great size. 3-4 bedrooms. Natural landscaping. Low taxes. In Westport. Make it your own!
